The Exhibition this year (2025) was held on Sunday 5th October,  and fortunately on a mostly dry and sunny day. It turned out to be exceptionally busy, although unfortunately the failure of our card-reader led to some long queues at the pay kiosk for those who had not pre-bought wristbands –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judging was also a little slow in the Exhibition Hall, meaning that it was not open for public viewing until most of the sales tables had finished and were packing up. But plenty of birds were bought and sold, and enthusiasts stocked up on essentials supplies and food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year’s show (2024) was another busy day, fortunately with a dry and sunny morning. Both the selling halls and the Exhibition section were well attended. A few pictures are attached – first, Setting Up –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Exhibition last year was held on Sunday 1st October 2023, and proved to be a busy and productive day, in spite of the rain that continued for most of the day. Tables were set up in time for the first flush of early entry tickets, while those queuing for regular entry at 9.30 am were allowed in a little bit early, as the rain hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE NATIONAL EXHIBITION – Last year’s show took place at Stafford County Showground <\/em>on <\/strong>Sunday 2nd October 2022. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Exhibition is Britain\u2019s largest exhibition and sale day of caged birds and associated supplies. The National Exhibition is held at Stafford County Agricultural Show Ground<\/a>, a tried and tested venue capable of holding the event successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2019 event was again successful, with a bright, dry start to the day. Heavy showers were experienced later, but never lasted long, and did not deter our several thousand enthusiastic visitors. A broken lift made things difficult for our less mobile guests, and those transporting barrows loaded with cages or boxes, but otherwise all seemed to run smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A big feature for this year was a collection of display aviaries, featuring a variety of species, free-flying in aviaries decorated with natural vegetation! These ranged from finches, through parakeets and parrots, to hornbills and rollers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future plans include a competition for bird clubs to furnish similar aviaries with their own decor and birds, with cash prizes for the best. Look out for more details!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Exhibition provides not only members of the Parrot Society UK (PSUK), but non-members as well, the perfect environment to sell surplus stock and acquire new fancies or blood lines to develop and enhance your breeding success. The show also attracts many varied trade stands meeting your every need, whether that be nest boxes suitable for large Macaws right down to that all important treat for your pet Budgie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
